Daniel has served as Director of Manager Research since 2026 and Equity Research Analyst since 2024. In his Manager Research role, he leads the firm’s diligence efforts across public and private markets, evaluating external strategies through a long-term fundamental lens. Daniel and the team seek to partner with managers who exhibit a well-defined circle of competence, capital discipline, organizational stability, and a focus on downside protection. His leadership has been important to the expansion of Clifford Swan’s investment capabilities in an evolving landscape, as he focuses on developing unique insights and capitalizing on opportunities that the market may be underappreciating.

As an Equity Research Analyst, he provides recommendations on individual securities from a bottom-up perspective as a generalist. He is also a key member of the team managing the firm’s core portfolio. Daniel has extensive investment experience in healthcare investing, including as both a buy-side Equity Research Analyst at Sands Capital Management and on the sell-side at Stifel Nicolaus, where he specialized in global healthcare and pharmaceutical companies.

Outside of the office, Daniel and his wife enjoy spending time with their two young children. His interests include cheering for Boston and California sports teams, exploring local parks, and staying active with his church community. So far, his favorite trips have been to Singapore and South Vietnam.
