Clifford Swan Hosts Cal State Fullerton’s Titan Capital Management Students

March 3, 2025

Clifford Swan Investment Counselors welcomed students from California State University, Fullerton’s Titan Capital Management (TCM) program to our offices on February 28 for an engaging day of discussions on investment management.

TCM is a highly regarded student investment group, having won the CFA Institute Research Challenge of Los Angeles for six consecutive years. The program prepares students for competitive careers in finance through hands-on experience in security analysis, stock and bond portfolio management, and professional mentorship.

During the visit, the students participated in:

  • Career Insights Panel: CEO Peter Boyle, Board Chair Kathleen Gilmore, and Principals Kevin Cavanaugh and Roger Gewecke shared their career journeys, insights into the wealth management industry, and the importance of a client-centric approach.
  • Breakout Sessions: Small group discussion with our analysts, portfolio managers, and investment counselors allowed the students to explore different aspects of investment management in depth.
  • Investment Pitches: TCM students presented bond and stock pitches, receiving constructive feedback from the Clifford Swan team to refine their skills.

The visit was made possible through the collaborative efforts of Clifford Swan team members and TCM program director Professor Kelly Ko, whose dedication to student success was evident throughout the day.

At Clifford Swan, we are committed to supporting future finance professionals through mentorship and look forward to continuing our collaboration with TCM and other educational institutions to support emerging talent in the field.
